Tuwanek Club Dive February 8th

Join the UBC Aqua Society for a 2 tank shore dive at Tuwanek! We will meet at the dive shop on February 8th at 7:45am and will return in the evening. If you happen to have a vehicle please bring it as we will need people to drive tanks and divers.

Please note that this dive trip is geared towards divers who are comfortable with both cold water diving and buoyancy. Divers who need additional support should consider joining one of our local Whytecliff or Porteau club dives for some extra practice!

  • 2 dives with a guide

  • Snacks

The Tuwanek dive sites sit peacefully within the protected Sechelt Inlet. To get to Tuwanek we will be taking a ferry from Horseshoe bay to Langdale, it is about a 40 minute drive to Horseshoe bay and 40 minute ferry ride away. The entrance for this dive site is relatively easy and is a short distance. Tuwanek has two beautiful islands to dive, each with it’s own highlights. Expect to see crabs, nudibranch, tubeworms, cloud sponges, moon snails, tunicates, seals, the giant pacific octopus, and rock fish, not to mention the star of the show…wolf eels! Come out to see why this site is a favourite among local divers!
