Course Description
Want to stay warm while scuba diving in the pacific northwest? Sign up for the PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course and learn how to dive in a drysuit. Earn this PADI Drysuit Specialty certification and you will benefit from worldwide recognition of drysuit diving training for life.
Note that many dive operators require a drysuit specialty certification in order for you to rent a drysuit from them so this is virtually a mandatory certification for those wanting to dive regularly during fall and winter.
We meet first at the UBC Aqua Society shop on evening for equipment sizing and a classroom and pool orientation session before heading to Whytecliff Park for your first cold water dives in a drysuit. Head out for two dives exploring the underwater world of this beautiful marine protected area available in our back yard.
Extra Info
- All necessary rental gear and materials provided. Divers need to provide their own personal gear (Mask, Snorkel)
